I was assigned to write Eastwick, so I wrote Altars barbarous below - All Darryl had to do to keep the women safe from themselves was to keep them apart or, failing that, distracted. Particularly of note in its construction:

- I started the Roxie bit, realized it was not working as such, and then started what became the frame.
- Parts of it were written in Southwick, CT.
- I ought to stop titling things from DH Lawrence sometime.

When the Yuletide Treat system opened, I went to see if anyone wanted any Promethean Age that I could do in a reasonably short time frame. Lomedet wanted Kit/Will/Annie (and she's not alone in that), so I doubled the size of what then became Rosemary and rue - Kit's breath caught at the thought of Annie Shakespeare striding through Faerie, proud and unafraid though she knew as well as any what wickedness came of such a place.. Of note:

- Lomedet spotted me straight off.
- Katarik knew it was me from the summary, which makes me blush unaccountably.
- The story started life as a series of txts, which is not my medium at all.

For Yuletide Madness, I wandered around and found someone who wanted Archer's Goon, and ended up with a drabble called Nuture > Nature, in part because the pairing amused me too much not to try. - Howard needs a bigger challenge than spaceships.

When it comes to what I wrote, I'd like to think my writing was sneaky and undetectable, except . . . well, not so much. I suspect that people reading Yuletide from space could point to my fics. Thank you to my tireless beta readers, puddingcat, derryderrydown, toscas_kiss and zalia!

The Customs of the World - Fenndom; In which there is innuendo and naked swimming.

I forgot to tell my flist that I got a lovely Promethean Age story for Yuletide Madness. I am *most* remiss, and I do apologize to my author (who already knows that I treasure the gift, but still).

Eeee, in Yuletide Madness I got a perfect little Fennish double drabble: A Tight Fit, that squeezes a lot of innuendo into a very small space! Thank you, manly mystery writer! ♥

Simmering - Earth's Children - magnificent crack which takes on the books' unlikely coincidences and produces a story in which Ayla and Jondalar are even more inventive than usual.

De Amicitia - Roman History, Marcus Tullius Cicero/Titus Pomponius Atticus - their friendship as young men.

This Sweet and Bitter Orange Mood - Inspector Chen series - Inari deals with her in-laws, and finds a job.

I got an *excellent* Ellen Fanshaw story. She is not the easiest woman to love, but my author manages it, and ze makes it contagious. If you need to love Ellen for a bit, try my story. \o/~
